About Give’ism

Give’ism is founded by the Danish habit-breakers Thomas VovemoD (VovemoD means ‘valiant’) and Jonas Pindhund (Pindhund means ’stickdog’). They run well paid small innovation companies, but instead of earning more and more money, they spend most of their spare time AND at least 25% of their job hours to explore the widths of Give’ism.

The filosophy of Give’ism is simply to discover new ways to practice ’giving without expecting anything in return’, in order to inspire fellow citizens to do the same. Since 2013 their experiments have led to a small universe of Give’ism in the center of Aarhus, Denmark, trying to gather citizens – no matter belief – around taking a co-responsibility for making Aarhus one of the worlds greatest cities to visit and to live in.

The ideas are created at their headquarters; The Habit Breaker Palace, an 1982 auto-rental rebuilt as an old scientists flamboyant home and lab from 1892.

Even though it started like a ‘playground’ for the two habit breakers, Give’ism has lately been given the danish national community prize. Their place is visited by mayors, EU-delegations and foundation boards from the nordic country and their latest project ‘The Give’ism’ road has been showed in 6 international design and architecture magazines. In 2016 Thomas was chosen to give a TEDx talk, trying to explain the possible world impact of Give’ism – every day trying to give a little without expecting anything in return.
